Scar-Warriors

Scar Warriors is a game made for Shovel Jam. Theme is "Just Get Started".

I looked at the old games that ignited a flame and increased popularity of gaming.

Donkey Kong, Pac-man, Space-invaders etc. I influenced by space invaders while making this game.

PS: What I noticed is the game can be too long compared to other games on jam. You can play eny level you like after learning basics, level 5 and 6 covers all enemy types, other levels focuses on new enemy types.

PS: You can get hit by bullets it is totally normal sometimes there is no way to avoid it sadly... but yo can pick which bullet you can get hit by (more red the bullet is more powerful it is)

 Double Shot: Fire 2 bullets and increased attack speed

 Shield: Destroy bullets in screen

 Speed: Slows time, increases your attack speed and movement speed

Pet Jet: it creates 3 pet jets around player damaging enemies and blocking incoming bullets

Multi Shot: creates a horde of homing projectiles

Freeze Shot: An ammunition that stun opponents briefly

  Health Drop: fills healthbar 20% and gives invulnerability for half a second.

Piercing Bullets: Bullets go through enemies. increased damage at first contact.

Laser: Shoot a laser beam that damages overtime. Damage increases while focused to same enemy

Chain Lightning: Bullets create a chain lightning that damages the closest enemy

I really struggled to design diffuculty, so feel free to adjust between easy and hard

you can always change selected skill via pause menu

PC:

arrow right and arrow left for movemont

space for using skill

Click pause button or press ESC to open pause menu

in Pause menu you can adjust sounds and difficulty. You can pick your skill, and level select

drag to move

double tap to use skill

tap pause button to open pause menu
